“The Last Minute Band” is a student club and a music band which gathers music enthusiasts from the Institute of English Studies. Even though the club was established on 20 November 2023, its activity started way earlier. In March 2023, a group of students and professors decided to perform at the 100-year jubilee of English Studies. That is how our story began. We prepared our own arrangements of famous songs. After preparations, which we described as quite „last minute”, on 21 April 2023 we performed our first concert. That is how „The Last Minute Band” came into existence. As a formation, we performed again at the
Inauguration ceremony of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. However, we decided to go a step further and formalize our activities as a student club. Not only will we continue our current activities, i.e. organizing and preparing for performances and concerts, but we plan to organize various meetings during which we will talk about music or the musical.
