Is diving into a good book something that gets you through the week? Have you always dreamt of becoming well-versed in British literature? Page Turners offers you the chance to broaden your knowledge of literature and culture, exchange your thoughts and impressions with other British literature lovers, and so much more.

The club’s advisor, Dr Lucyna Krawczyk-Żywko, ensures that the discussions are both lively and substantive.

Our primary area of interest is British fiction from the 19th century, yet at times we venture a little beyond the land of the Brontë sisters, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. The reading list is compiled entirely by the club members and fairly diversified, so everyone can find something to their taste.

Apart from the usual literary discussions, the club frequently organises additional events such as social outings and film adaptation nights.

Page Turners meetings take place every third Friday afternoon in our lovely local Library of Modern Languages. Be sure not to miss the next one!

Our meetings are open to everyone on two conditions:

1. you have read the book

2. you will talk about it in English (here are a few basic concepts, just in case)
