Fanatics and Phonology is a student society for all those interested in the field phonetics and phonology, as well as other areas of theoretical and empirical linguistics, such as sociolinguistics, syntax, and diachronic changes (historical linguistics).

During our meetings we discuss selected publications, including handbooks on linguistics, e.g. “The Sounds of Language: An Introduction to Phonetics and Phonology” by Elizabeth Zsiga. We are also organising a series of invited talks, called “As We Speak”, featuring researchers of various fields within theoretical and empirical linguistics.

Meetings take place once a week, at Dobra 55.
