Bookin' It is a student book club for everyone interested in American culture, history, and, most importantly, literature. If you:
- love both classics and modern literature,
- long for a community that critically assesses texts, and
- want to discuss novels in a cozy atmosphere,
then we're a good fit for you!
Our amazing advisor, Professor Ziarkowska, is always there to help us get the most out of our conversations, and our resident baker, Sonia, always makes sure we have something delicious to snack on.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, with the help of Professor Anna Pochmara-Ryżko and Professor Kelly Moffett, we organized meetings with Jessica Chiccehitto Hindman and Kaja Gucio. We also took part in "Noc Anglistów," where we gave a lecture on the representation of monstrous mothers in American and Canadian literature and film. Additionally, our members, together with the student club "Beyond Theory," co-organized and took part in the student conference "Gothic: The Trauma, the Real, and the Unreal."
