From Queen Anne to Queen Victoria Research Group

The group’s name highlights the time span analysed in our research and provides a framework for the highly varied perceptions that contribute to a picture of the great themes linking the 18th and 19th centuries. Our approach is interdisciplinary, and the research areas cover both period culture and literature as well as their contemporary rewritings.

We continue and build on the work of the British Studies Centre (an interdepartmental unit of the University of Warsaw, 1990-2014) and the British Studies Centre Lab (a unit within the Institute of English Studies, 2015-2020). We are open to cooperation – visit our website: qaqv.ia.uw.edu.pl
