Professor Krzeszowski was a renowned linguist and a member of the Linguistics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as well as a member and chair of its Committee on Modern Languages. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded, among other distinctions, the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
