We invite students to participate in the first edition of the Young Linguists Seminar (YLS) – a student conference organized by the Faculty of Modern Languages at the University of Warsaw.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of this annual event, formerly known as Seminário de Jovens Investigadores (SEJ-IN). On this occasion, we are opening the seminar to all students of the Faculty of Modern Languages, creating a space for the presentation of preliminary research results, ongoing projects, and the exchange of ideas between different fields of linguistics.
The aim of the seminar is to create a place for discussion, inspiration, and cooperation between students. We encourage you to submit papers on any linguistic issues related to the languages taught and studied at our department. It is not required that the research presented be completely finished – the seminar is also intended to serve as a platform for sharing ideas and stages of research work.
Presentation languages: Polish or English
Who can participate: undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students of the Faculty of Modern Languages
Form of presentations: 20-minute presentations + discussion
📌 Submissions:
Please send an abstract (max. 250 words) including your name, field of study, and contact details to: m.testa@uw.edu.pl or s.figueira-ca2@uw.edu.pl

📅 Notification of acceptance: January 31, 2026
